About Emma Williams
Emma is the founder and Managing Director of Alluvia, a health and safety consultancy built on the values she believes in: integrity, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to safer workplaces.
With a career that began in operational roles and progressed through to senior management in electricity distribution, water distribution and wastewater services, and further education, Emma has a real understanding of the day-to-day challenges teams face. She’s led teams, set strategy, and delivered meaningful improvements in health and safety.
Emma has also played an active role nationally, contributing to industry bodies and helping to shape best practice across the sector. She’s known for her practical, down-to-earth style making complex safety ideas clear and turning them into plans that genuinely improve both safety and team culture.
Holding a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree and a NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Emma is also a Chartered Member of the globally recognised Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), reflecting her commitment to professional excellence. Service in the Army Reserve has shaped her resilience, discipline, and leadership style – qualities brought to every project.
As a qualified educator, Emma is passionate about mentoring and developing individuals, fostering environments where safety, learning, and collaboration thrive. Emma sees safety as much more than just following rules – it’s about building a workplace where everyone feels confident and responsible for making good choices every day.
